The Sound Of Me Banging My Head

Nov 13, 2003 21:22

I want to officially apologize for my complaint towards Apple and their ability to fix my iBook. It seems that all I had to do was change the refresh rate, and everything is displaying hunky dory.

Yes, I feel like a moron.

Would it be too much pining if I said I'd never wash my head again? I'm not sure I'm willing to suffer bugs or something for this. ;)

That's not bad compared to the time I setted the jumper on my hard disk wrong and used it that way for three solid months

I suffered through almost a whole week with 800x600. It seemed like three months anyway.

Jumpers can be a pain at times. Especially if you lose that teeny piece of paper describing the settings for it.

That piece of paper is actually glued to the drive casing. The trouble is, when you look at it upside-down like that it's realllllllly easy to mix it up...

When it comes to computers, never feel like a moron.

That is my turf, and mine alone.

The best you can have there, is a minor "oops". "Moron" is mine, and I'm not sharing.

That's a pretty darn big burden to put on yourself. Still, I need something that validates my moronalty. I did fall off a skateboard a lot, but that was a long time ago.. hmm.. I'll have to think about this a little bit more. I'm sure there is something in this big beautiful world I can use as a scapegoat. ;)

I ran my car into a parked SUV at the stoplight

Least you had a stoplight to confuse you. My last accident, I hit a parked minivan in a parking lot. More, the minivan has been parked there for months.

Actually, I have a pretty darn good reason why I didn't change the refresh rate faster.

The settings dialog for the display pops up with another dialog in front of it. I had to move the top dialog to get to the refresh rates. They were sneaking about it, but I beat them! ;)

Can I call you an imbecile? I've been wanting to call someone an imbecile all day and you are fitting the bill here, please?

Of course you can!

I will even wear a little dunce cap and do a little jig to laugh along with you. :)
