I really loved this. It's such a beautiful idea.

Sometimes I think I want to watch my family and generations forever. Someday I wonder if I could stand to watch them, heartaches and pain and be unable to help. I guess at least the tree could offer shade and something to lean on.

What a sweet tale, I love the sentiment. Especially how Fern outgrew the story and then came back to it, in the end.
