Except for Keane and Supertramp, I think I like most of what's on that list. A few I don't know that well or don't particularly care for.
Re: Cocteau Twins - you ought to check out their first album, Garlands. It's unlike anything else they've ever made, but in my opinion their best album! It's actually one of my all time favourites.
Nice to see you're getting into Joy Division. I didn't know you liked them. Check out Gang of Four's album Entertainment (if you can find it). It's kind of similar (sort of, maybe). Brilliant album. Been trying to buy it for years but can't find it anywhere. Had to download it.
By the way, iTunes sucks ass. I fucking hate that software and wouldn't use it if there was another option for Apple computers. (Unfortunately, there isn't.) But you're on a PC. Get WinAmp!
Re: Cocteau Twins - I'll make a note to check out that album. I found out about them from the Mysterious Skin soundtrack which was just brilliant.
I think I've liked Joy Division for a little while now, I think I forgot to mention that to you though. I'll make sure to check out that album you mentioned.
iTunes does suck ass (agreed), it's just simple and easy to use for me, so yeah... I don't know how to get WinAmp! Link me up, please.
I don't want an iPod, you know how much I fucking hate them. Trendy pieces of shit that I despise...
Ben Folds, Elliott Smith, Dead Kennedys, Modest Mouse, Dead Kennedys, Nick Drake and The Flaming Lips are all fantastic artists with amazing albums in their catalogues.
I also enjoy Godspeed and Explosions... post-rock, it's great if you're into that sort of thing, but it's not for everyone.
Supertramp's good too and I've heard a lot of good things about the New Pornographers and Joy Divison although I'm relatively unknown to those groups.
I'd also strongly recommend you to get as much Tom Waits as you can - greatest songwriter ever.

Unless, of course, you want an iPod.
