Down in Diamond Bar (SoCal) visiting my folks. Erika is a bit crankier than usual because my Mom is a bit of a control freak and we were just here for Thanksgiving (though we theoretically alternate holidays between my family and hers, since her family is in Texas, we tend to not go there for T-Day cuz it's too short a holiday to be worth going to ( Read more... )

Thanks! Yeah, (aside from the soreness) the visit's going fine. For me, anyway, it's nice to be home. More stressful for Erika, but she's much less grumpy now. :)

Yeah, looking forward to seeing you again. Too bad I'll miss the party (but man, that invite by NeilFred was classic!).

The invitation was actually a collaborative effort among the 4 of us, with me contributing the majority of the effort. I just let him send it out because he had the mailing list all ready to go.

I try my best to be an encyclopedia of weird stuff. I'm not really sure whether I heard about it as obscure alternative medicine, or obscure BDSM, though. :)

BTW you can just give up about people understanding when to clap (2 and 4). It drives me nuts- have these people no soul? Can they not hear the evil they do to the music when they do that? Ack.

Well, not a grad student yet. Just undergrad for now so I can figure out what field to pick (psychology is a remote possibility). Grad school next year, or perhaps the fall after that. But the crazy and starving part is about right.

Yay, I'm not the only one who gets bugged by that.

Anyway, thanks! Nice hearing from you again (you haven't updated in, like, forever)!
