Don't forget the need for electrolytes, since with just water, you can get electrolyte-depleted, and feel weak and have trouble retaining water. Dilute gatorade or cytomax or something works.
Well, I did completely forget to drink the gatorade that I had brought that is probably still sitting in my trunk somewhere. But I did eat beef jerky fairly often, which I think should have covered that.
