I consider posting to LJ to be, as you said, a type of creative output, and therefore a "valid" use of time.

No, no. I don't fish (you know me, I loves the little fishies to swim free!). I know I have an occasional interesting entry, but for the most part, I'm sure I bore people to tears.

I think the reason your photos don't attract much attention is because you post so many. It's hard to process especially when one has to go through pages of other peoples' photos as well.

Hmmm. You have a point. I probably should do a much better job selecting what I upload. But since I hardly ever backup my hard drive, Flickr is doubling as my photo archive, so I tend to err on the side of uploading rather than not.

Or alternatively, I could just be more consistent instead of going days or weeks at a time where I don't upload anything (thus ending up with such a huge backlog). But that wouldn't go well with my fickle obsessiveness...

If you upload photos to be archives, just make them private so we don't see 'em.
