So.

On Thursday, after the amazing kid experience, and the drug rep giving me a second stethoscope (what are they like, buses?) Rebecca, Colin (who is not a medical student, is seeing a friend of mine, works at Colchester General and is older than us) and I went to this Colin-recommended pub called The Yew Tree. Rebecca drove me there (her having ( Read more... )

I have to acknowledge that Tas Firin is NOT a kebab shop, of which there are zillions in Bethnal, but is a Turkish restaurant. And if you know the geography of cuisine-restaurants in the East End, you'll know that Turkish restaurants are clustered around Hackney, like Vietnamese restaurants, but there are almost none in Bethnal. So it's all new and great and wonderful, is what I'm trying to say.

How special. Sedate is good, much better than spending the whole night wandering around being sick, and having all your friends in the club waiting for you, til you return refreshed and ready to party, and find them leaving. Did I ever say sorry enough about that night? One more time will surely be ok.

I digress, I'm glad you spent it with people you liked, and tried out unique places you would never normally have found out about otherwise. Finding good restaurants is a wonderful feeling, especially when they're cheap. The name of the restaurant does sound surprisingly elvish. I found that 'tas' is a type of casserole cooking pot, but 'firin' is still lost on me. Tas Pide seems to be rather successful, and I'd like to try out both when I next return.

OK, so, I don't really get your life, not that I should seeing as I only added you really because you had papa laz as one of your interests, BUT you are proving to be one of my favourite LJ-ers to read, actually, scrap that, I reckon you are my favourite, but I'm rambling now.

Anyway, what I was trying to say was that 1. You're a medical student right? 2. Why are you younger then everyone else? and 3. Umm. I did have a three, but I've gone and forgotten.

I need sleep, but must. finish. coursework. :/

wow, thanks! (Also, now you've said that, you know I'll disappoint in the future.) I like reading yours, too. Almost all my miniscule friends list comprises people I know personally, and I like reading yours because it's a completely different life/world, it's a kind of anti-claustrophobia.

1. yeah. 2. We moved a lot when I was at school and school years began at different times, so I managed to accumulate enough months to end up being a year younger and I didn't do a gap year.

Anyway. I don't have an excuse for being online this late.
