Okay, Isabelle had been here and behaving for long enough, now. She'd done her part and she'd done it well. "Why would anyone listen to anything you had to say about doing the right thing?" she snapped. It felt better than she would've liked to admit.

Robert's face went red. He turned to her slowly, fixing her with the kind of icy Inquisitor glare that would have left anyone else whimpering in a fetal ball. Isabelle didn't flinch. He was still looking at her when he spoke again. "Now that this sordid business is concluded, I'd ask you all to give me and my dutiful daughter here some privacy. I believe we have some things to settle."

"But this is my room," Cartwright whined.

Robert didn't need to speak, just turned that Inquisitor glare on him; Jon flinched.

"Yeah, I'll go," Flick said because he had no idea what this was going to blow up into and he knew how Isabelle could be when it came to things she wanted to keep private.

"I'll be in my room," he said more to Isabelle (okay, all to Isabelle) than her father.

Everyone else had already fled while he was saying that. But Isabelle's fingers snatched for his wrist. "He stays," she told her father.

Robert looked affronted. "He most certainly does not."

"Flick stays with me, or I leave with him," Isabelle said, sounding like this wasn't something she'd negotiate about. "Those are your choices."
