After the events on the island, Flick's decision to head to New York seemed like a damn good one. He had an apartment to fill up and not a lot of time to do it, after all. About a week ago, he'd gotten the power turned on and had a futon brought in and had scattered his laptop, phone, and clothes around it

Isabelle was in New York as well, although she'd spent the morning at the Institute on very important, official business. Also, exciting.

She knocked on the door.

Considering Flick was talking to someone about security systems, his next words probably were probably a little dumb but he didn't care. The only person who knew he was here wasn't coming to steal anything.

"Come in," he shouted, covering the phone with his hand.

At least he was making his case as being a person who needed extra security.

Isabelle slipped into the apartment, then waved at him once she'd made her way further in. Sometimes, she could be polite. At least for a moment.

Flick blew her a kiss and went about finishing his call. He set up an appointment for an installation and then hung up.
