To all my computer savy friends......

 every few days to ten days (aprox) my browsers forgets every username/password combo, it forgets history, it forgets my regional selection on craigslist.com, etc......  It does this in Firefox, IE AND Chrome.  I've removed all my malware protection, I've removed and reinstalled my virus scanner.  There are no settings related to this in ANY of the

You probably have set something to clear your temporary internet files on a regular basis. What it is, I don't know. Did you install something around the time that you first saw the problem?

that's what I thought too, but the only thing I've installed in months (other than a few wallpapers) is Google chrome and it didn't start then. I have NO anti virus running, no firewall, no malware nothing and the settings in IE that would affect that don't affect Chrome or Firefox etc......... Believe me, I explored that possibility SUPREMELY. I've searched for solutions on the internet too and found nothing. I was hoping someone would say "Oh yeah, there is this obscure virus that does it" or "if you hold your tongue wrong when you start up your computer" or something cause believe me, I've covered all the typical stuff.

all I can think of is SOME sort of security software.

do you have anything that updates automatically? maybe windows is clearing it when it installs updates or something.
