War Stories (Part 1)

This is the first "about writing" post. Are you excited?? :D

I chose to talk about one story that is VERY close to my heart, and another one which is very similar, but one which I feel a bit less attached to.
So I'll start with what I know at least one of you read:

Maybe I'm just weird, stalkerish, or whatever, but I find it extremely interesting to read the writer's/artist's thought about his/her work. Unfortunately, the most of them find nothing clever to say, usually muttering the same phrases "I dunno where this came from" or "this is my favourite work, because it reflects my personal life" and leave it as that. However, this particular back-story really opened my eyes, because if I have liked the one-shot before (because it was "different" and "cool by finally noticing Kyle's religion"), I now really, really appreciate it. It's not the fact that you know what you're writing about. It's not the fact that the plot is original. It's the fact that everything is in balance, the love story and the religious aspect, making it highly unique.

... I don't know how to express my other thoughts rationally, so maybe I should just shut up while I still can.

Actually I don't have anything smart to say regarding most of my stories, even those which I like. His Duty, however, had very clear roots.

Your story was perfect <3 It was definitely different from what I normally read on FF.NEt and for that, It stood out. And reading your little artists comments on the side makes it all the more interesting. C: <3
