Not only does it sound like you had a wonferful visit (understatement of the week), but you are an excellent writer.
When I met my husband we were living 8 hours away from each other. We fell in love through letters and phone calls. We just "clicked". we got engaged 2 months after we met. After 7 months of a long distnce relationship I moved to his state to be with him. I was all of 19 years old. we just celebrated out 8th year of being together and 3rd year married. I have never once regretted anything.
I am not saying you will marry this girl, but I am saying that distance has nothing to do with anything. I dont know why everyone seems to think they will fall in love with someone in close vacinity to them. Doesnt that serioulsy reduce the odds of finding just the right one? I say go with it. And I am very happy that the visit what better than you could have anticipated. :)
The story of your relationship with your husband proves how our world is shrinking by the day. I think back to a time when a person's circle of influence was only as large as their community... And I appreciate that the Internet now allows us to reach out, build friendships and (sometimes) fall in love with people that we would have never otherwise met. How lucky are we to live in such a world?
Also, thanks for the kind words about my writing... I appreciate them.
