oh WOW. the only thing that kept this from breaking my heart is knowing that there is a happy ending coming (eventually).

Oh wow - it was so lovely to delve back into this world. Chris was so awesome, and Jen - Jen is so fubar it's untrue. <3

Oh, I like this. It's really interesting to get a glimpse inside Jensen's head, see how absolutely out of control he is (although in very different ways to how he thinks) beneath that iron-controlled exterior. Chris comes off beautifully as well, smart but caught out by his desire to trust somebody like the family he's had to walk away from.
