Farewell to Bristol
It is with great regret that I must inform you that Tourdion will not be back at Bristol this season. The new management only contacted us now, at this late date, to offer us a single weekend appearance, unfortunately, on a weekend that isn’t available to us.

It sounds like Bristol has been changing a lot in the last few years, and not for the better.
Our experience with another Faire showed us that music was gradually being demoted to 2nd class entertainment at Ren Faires -- comedy was all they seemed to be interested in -- stand-up comedy dressed up as a music act was okay, but just music was not really in demand. Also there was a shift to all BIG shows with sound systems to play to huge crowds.
Bristol always seemed like an exception to the rule, but, that may have changed now. I hope they don't go down that route. It really destroys the illusion along with the intimacy.
I hope we get to see you when we pass through the area this summer.
