Tonight's wine was Weissburgunder. In non-German wine-speak I gather that this is called Pinot Blanc. It's more fruity to my pallet than the Pinot Grigio, but definitely of comparable dryness (and so goes down just as smooth for me). Drank sooo much wine last night. German wine, even, which is something I usually avoid (it is the summer of the Spanish white!!!). But a liter bottle of Kerner (which is a regional cross between the Riesling and Trollinger/Schiava grapes) only costs three euros 50...who was I to complain ( Read more... )
