Alec was still watching him from across the room.  He’d ( Read more... )

I just caught up with this series and it is beyond awesome. I hope you find your way back to it sometime. :)

Thank you! I haven't left it behind, per say...the next bit partially written (but mostly stalled, just to, you know, not encourage any false hope). Anyway, glad you found it!

I really enjoyed this series. Have you considered crossposting it to sn_crossovers and spn_darkangel? This series deserves a bigger audience and these are two places where there are very interested readers for it.

Thank you so much! I did cross-post it...somewhere. Maybe the first one? I don't even remember as it has been a little while (sorry!). I think maybe once I finish the next bit I'll try to get it out there a little more, see if anyone is still reading (I'm glad you think so!).

Thank you! I hope to put a bit more out there some day, but I think you've hit the nail on the head in terms of the kindness (or lack thereof) of muses.

Good story though I can't say I'm thrilled with the way Max shoved Alec out of his life. After so many years at Manticore following orders, I think Alec had a right to decide the kind of life he lived. So what if he has blood family out there? To quote Bobby 'Family doesn't end in blood.' Just 'cause that's how Max chooses to relate to the world doesn't mean Alec has to too. There's comfort in being with your own kind and Max took that away when she barred the door on his way out. And really, how is it safe for him to be out on his own and cut off from his own kind? Sooner or later something or someone was going to figure out what Alec is and then what? All he's got is his shaky relationship with his 'family'. How long is that going to last against everything that makes Alec different and all that comes with it?
