Gah! So good! I loooooove dark charlie. I love your depiction of the slow purposeful death of everything important. But also the hope for its re-birth.

This is my favorite line:
"Constance touched his hand and it was compassion and faith, it was doors opening that had rusted shut for years, and he had to squint his eyes against the trickle of light that came pouring in."

Oh! and this:
"Not everything there had been swallowed up and shelved away. Charlie liked that about Ted."

You should post this on Life_fic...it would be well received I'm sure.

Thanks! I love writing about the slow and purposeful death of everything important. ;-)

Yeah...cross-posting not so much. Maybe we could take an afternoon to write a bit, because this still feels unfinished to me, and there are other things that need to be worked on, too. With Life, there is always more. :-)

Also, as for taking an afternoon to write...um, YES PLEASE. I have quite a few ideas skittering around in my head, as well as a few WIPs I'd really really like to finish. So yes, let the writing commence.

If you can make yourself stay awake tonight after your insanely long flight you could watch Life at it's REAL time, on a REAL tv!! Woah. Just. Woah. (though I doubt you'll get this message before Life tonight...)
