Quickie little pieces painted for ComicCon. I had planned on one last "real" painting for that show but about a week from my mailing date, I realized it wasn't going to happen. So, two really small pieces and some rearranging and I had a full panel again.

So back before Arisia, I did a commission for blk. Now blk's an amazing hair braider and she does it conventions, faires, that sort of thing. I also finished my first oil painting this week. No you can't see it. Its still drying and it'll need a coat of varnish to get everything back to the same luster.

Gods, look how empty this journal is. I blame work. In order to "take on leadership responsibilities" and "increase my name recognition* in the company", I took on the role of software task leader for a project. This may have been a mistake. My moment involved Anne McCaffrey and firebreathing green dragons somewhere around age nine but otherwise it was exactly the same, right down to the expression.

Apparently I used up all of the "cute fuzzy" and "froggy" that was in me. When that happens, I have to recharge myself with something a little ... different.

Normally my muse and I have a good, professional working relationship. I say dragon, she says "rocks?". I say Default Fantasy Woman, she says "Rocks!".
