I don't know if the police mentioned this, but putting together a list of the stolen jewelry and contacting all of the local pawn shops is probably your best bet of both getting some of your jewelry back, and of having some chance of getting these guys caught.

Presumably, insurance will take care of the monetary value of the loss?
