I'm watching the marriage equality debate online right now. I'm deeply hoping that the Senate will do the right thing today, but it's very precarious. I keep wanting to kick the Republican senators in the teeth. OH MY GOD

It's so upsetting. It doesn't hurt anyone, it doesn't cost taxpayers money, so what the hell is the issue? They're trying to legislate morality, and it's not their job.
