I like how you keep weaving in references to the regular 'verse, even as small as the color of Evan's nails.

No, Len didn't punch him. There's been a lot less violence overall and I'm firmly of the opinion that Len's sworn to never go down that route (and has less need to break that rule here). It's much less of an Evan's-being-an-idiot-it's-his-fault-and-he-needs-to-shape-up thing, and more of a Len-wondering-how-he's-let-his-son-down thing. I'm considering writing a flip-side where Len has to deal with things on his end.

Thanks, the funnest bits tend to be seeing how much of the real 'verse you can slip in and still be able to explain them.
