Wow.

This is one hell of a story, and wonderfully written. Me being the Axel and James fan that I am, Axel's little side story hit the hardest, and I love how the tone goes from casual to panicked as things get worse and worse. Also love the idea that AU!Axel fell in the with Rogues and got the Trickster gear by being nice to James and visiting him in the him in the hospital.

Excellent story! Thanks for sharing.

Axel finagling his way into Breedmore to meet James was one of the first scenes that popped to mind when I was plotting out this story. That plus the idea of Axel getting a good reason to resent authority after James tries to play by the rules and they don't care. And yeah, the legacy-character transitions here ended up a lot more amicable than canon.

Amazing! I love the detail you put into this. I'm surprised there aren't more fics out there set in the Justice Lords universe. There's so much potential for stories there.
