[Fanart] Two tailors

Aug 01, 2010 20:27

Edna Mode. Paul Gambi. Two of the most awesome fictional tailors. I had the idea for this image in my head the other day, and it took me a while, but I finally got around to do it :o)

Did anyone ever think of it? :o) )

Aw, thank you :o) To tell the truth, I am rather proud of this one (the line-art especially, because I still think the colours look a little off) because putting this two very different (style-wise) characters together took some rehearsing :D

hivemind, awesome and scary at the same time^^

A long time ago (I think it was rp based) a meeting between them was talked about, but we never really did anything with it.

That´s why I love fandom, neverending creativity and awesome ideas

I love it! Gambi is a personal favorite of mine^^
and the picture - awwwwww!
I love it^^

Ah well, those two are awesome after their own fashion, and they're both tailors for costumed people - somebody was bound to have the idea :D I'm quite fond of Gambi too, for some reason - he's great on his own, but I think it's also the soft spot I have for the idea that villains have a regular tailor and nothing super-villainish happens in the shop, just gentlemen's meetings :o)

Thanks a lot! :o]

so awesome! i could totally see them ragging on each other for their designs in addition to the anecdotes! gambi's obviously got the superior (if tackier) clientele though XD

len's gonna be pissed though-you drew heatwave taller than him (one of my favorite moments in the wonderland trade is when len's going through the flash museum, sees a display of him and heatwave and scoffs about how he's taller)

Aargh, the one picture with the two of them where I don't pay attention, and I drawn Mick taller than Len XD I know, I love that scene, too - but it's in Crossfire :o) Chyre, Morillo and Cold have teamed up, they're in the middle of rescuing the entire population of Central (or is it Keystone?) and they are indeed going through the Flash Museum (Len's put out the fire on the Barry Allen statue - the only time he's bothered :D) I usually take care, but didn't this one time. I hope he's not gonna sulk now :P

I think both tailors are professional (and gentleman/lady-like) enough not to make fun of each other's design - but both of them would shake their heads at some stupid/silly super-heroing/villaining antics :o)

argh, i keep mixing up where i've read things from in my head. clearly i'm going to have to track down where all my trades went (i've been loaning them out) and do a reread before i get much further in my fic-verse. i love the len vs. mick rivalry to no end, and now i just see him going 'i was bending over! seriously, i bent my knee so we would all fit in the shot! shut up!'

i could see them making those subtle digs and jabs that don't initially register as insults unless you stop and think about them though. but yeah, definitely mostly the ridiculous antics anecdotes.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude
That's so fun ! And I noticed the background picture at first sight, it's pretty awesome. They seem so young. Specially Piper, who's a teenager, and Len (but maybe it's the smile).

Anyway, Edna Mode and Gambit having tea together is so much a wonderful idea... (The fun thing would be if they exchanged clients for a while. Would like to see the Rogues Edna style).

They are young - in my head, that's one of their earliest pictures :D Len does have a rogueish smirk in the photo (all puns intended!), though, doesn't he? ;o)

The Rogues Edna Mode-style... now that would be a sight :P

Well, I think that this smirk suits him well ^o^

And I can totally imagine Len in as Elastigirl, shocked as Edna explains to him all the dangers that the suit can face.
Plus, spandex Rogues ! (and poor Trickster)
