-Slight Spoiler to BN 8 So watch yourself Others who see-nilepriestessApril 4 2010, 04:48:19 UTC
..Uhm Actually? Ted Kord and Barry Allen left this plane of existence Totally differently than the other. In comparison? Ted Did die a True Hero's Death Compared to Barry's by a long run. Heh..Run as in into the speed force, technically 'Not Dead'.
And due to Ted Kord not returning? It gives more tension in the Booster Gold storyline and questions as to Why Maxwell Lord has Returned and NOT Ted Kord. It'll be something to see.

From my understanding of it, being stuck in the Speed Force IS essentially being dead. To the people outside it in the real world, you might as well be.
It's a retcon anyway, as the concept of the Speed Force did not exist when Barry died in Crisis. When it was written, the writer intended that he died to help save the universe. If it was muddled later by writers like Waid and Johns, that still doesn't change the heroic nature of what Wolfman wrote.
All Ted did was tell Max to eff off and get his head blown away. Not that great a death.
I'd like to state for the record that the more I read about the upcoming plans for DC and Brightest Day... the less interested I actually am to read it.
Eh, it happens. I'm not so naive to think the world revolves around what I want. :[ And who knows, I might even change my mind once I read some of the spoilers. :D
And even if I don't read the new stuff, my love for the old stuff isn't going to wane. :)

In the Speed Force or Dead... it's all the same and damn them for not bringing Ted back! Also, damn them for making Max evil in the first place.
