A trapdoor under a bar to hide those searched by occupation forces ? I think I can see the cultural reference to the "occupied country" vibe. ;-)
I liked Sam's voice, the passage in the mirror world, and all the small details in the text, like "“Didn’ see nothin’ unusual," -a hurt Rogue coming to hide in HArry's must indeed be pretty usual- or the part about Mrs Snart.

And for Gio, well, his parents were circus people, may he have tzigan ancestors ?

Not all circus people have gypsy ancestors :o) I don't know about that, really. James' blond hair and blue eyes instantly reminded me of François Cavanna's depiction of the (Northern Italian immigrants) adults of his childhood life in Les Ritals, but I didn't think about it more than that.

Thanks a lot :o)

Fantastic. As usual. Those poor, poor Thanagarians. And James with his "I hate boots," goes from being kind of funny to heartbreaking real fast. Well done.

Thank you! I wasn't sure it would work :o) As for the Thanagarians... heh. You almost pity them. Almost ;o)

This is great. The Rogues as part of a resistance movement? The Thanagarians won't know what hit them, especially as Mirror Master can use the mirrors to get the Rogues in and out of situations. I love "Mildly Dangerous Dennis. Best nickname ever. Fred needs to get with the program and come up with a suitable one.

I love the image of the Rogues sitting around the little room discussing what to do and poor, sad Trickster with his "I hate boots," line. And Trickster's line about needing a bigger rubber chicken cracked me up.

I like the part about Sam's view of the mirror world and how he thought he was dead the first time he entered it. Great job.

Thank you very much for the comments :o) Yes, as soon as he recovers Sam's gonna be a definite asset in the tricky matter of emergency getaway :D

And Fred does have a nickname, of sorts. "No Nickname Fred" :P

The way I see it, there are several "mirror" dimensions - at least three (in the DCAU). There's the one Flash and Linda find themselves in in Flash and Substance (with the big rubber-like ribbon and the millions of doors); another one, rather similar, that Mirror Master (and the others when they come with him) uses to get in and out of mirrors/places, and the one that's described here, where everything is basically the same but reversed and walking around it makes you feel like a ghost.

Trickster's "bigger rubber chicken" comes a bit from that moment in Jaws that's been parodied and nodded to a couple hundred times, where the two main characters finally see the big bad shark and one of them (pretty much in a state of shock) flatly goes ( ... )
