Oh my... I LOVE that this is a sequel of sorts. But the reveal at the end that Blunt orchestrated it is so very in-character for him.

You remain my favourite AR writer^_~

Thanks so much. I'm glad you liked it. It's not so much a sequel as a fic in the same 'universe'. I've always wanted to do a more detailed sequel one day - RL keeps taking away from my writing time though!

In that case, I hope for more fics from this universe^_~

Oh this is lovely! I remember reading 'It would be better if we didn't meet again' and I'm glad their relationship evolved into something more consensual. Loved the tension in this fic; Yassen's anger and the way he decides not to betray John; and how he gets it together and ges Alex a glass of water even though he's still very upset. And Blunt is behind putting Alex in such a position... *shivers* It's clear that MI6 really wouldn't think twice about betraying Alex :s.

I'm glad you keep making an effort to keep up with the flash_rider prompts; you always do an amazing job!

Thanks so much - I'm glad you liked it (your icon is perfect too!).

I love writing Yassen - I think he's such a complex character. I see Blunt being more 'evil' than many of the 'bad' guys. From book 1 it's clear he cares nothing for Alex as a person - Alex is just a weapon, nothing more.

The prompts here are spaced out enough that I can find the time to keep up with writing for them. I'd love to try the Alex100 but I don't do well with keeping the word count down and I don't think I could handle all those prompts!

I really like the 'universe'. I always have had some additional stories planned to continue on from the original (Didn't Meet Again), but I just haven't had time to develop them fully. This fic easily fits into how I see their relationship turning out a few years later. Yassen/Alex just belong together.

uh oh! Blunt's going to get his head blown off if he keeps interfering like this- wait- why is that a bad thing again? KILL BLUNT KILL BLUNT KILL BLUNT. sequel? please?

It's interesting that to me, Blunt is more of a villain than the 'bad' guys. He hides behind being a patriot, as if that's a good enough reason to abuse and use Alex the way he does.

...hmmm... Actually, you've got a point there- and now that I think about it, he's worse than some of the really really bad guys like Sayle etc, because at least they don't hide behind 'it's for the greater good' type thing (well they only hide from the authorities at least)... if that makes sense.
anyway- will you or will you not be writing a sequel? PLEASE???

I love having Blunt as a bad guy - he's so cruel to Alex in canon that it's easy to use him.

As for Yassen choking Alex - it helps that Yassen doesn't actually end up killing him ;-) There's that whole suggestiveness of erotic asphyxiation too, even though at the time Yassen is acting out of anger.
