Grace Epilogue

I'm not totally sure what people are expecting for this, but I hope you all enjoy it. I've tried not to introduce anything new, rather have opted to make it more of a reflection piece in the same vein that I wrote a lot of the opening scenes of chapters within 'Grace ( Read more... )

I finishd re-reading Grace for the 4th time the other night, and now this. Just wow.
I think this is a perfect epilogue, and yeah, wow.

Lol, I don't even think I've read 'Grace' four times, so seriously, well done. :D

And thank you, seriously. I always feel so ridiculously flattered when people say stuff like this. So, yes. Just, thank you.

I love you so much and I love this too. Holy crap, do I love this. Grace is still one of my all-time favourite stories and the above commenter is right: this was the perfect epilogue. It wasn't at all what I was expecting but if there's one thing you excel at it's completely exceeding any expectation I could ever set. (If there's two things you excel at, it's making me into the worst sort of glutton, like a dog beneath the table begging for scraps, for anything, for more.)

As much as I'm in love with Loretta and Ryan and Grace and Catherine, it's really Brendon who is the most fascinating of them all. It's easy to forget that he's the narrator, so entrenched is he in the backseat of this vehicle (and yet he drives!), but when you tease him out of the words on the page, he is truly magnificent. And this epilogue makes that abundantly clear.

You mentioned before that you were trying to clean the rest of the story up and translate it into original fiction. You must send me the completed project when you're done <3

I love you toooooo. I'm really glad you liked it, because I was kind of worried on how people would react to it. After all, not a lot happens in it. It's really more of a character-piece than an action-piece, and I was a little worried people would find it boring or self-indulgent ( ... )

I think 'Grace' was one of the first things I ever wrote and it still amazes me that it inspires such emotion. I don't know. Thank you. I'm glad you like it. :)

There is no possible way I could top the comments above, but you should know that this entire masterpiece was so, fucking, beautiful. I want to scrape up all your words and preserve them forever. There's something about the pace you set, the language you use and the feelings you describe so well that made this entire story so captivating and bitter and gorgeous. The personification of Grace made everything so much more intense, like she's a living, breathing character - and I suppose, in a way, she is. She's Brendon's heart, maybe.

Thank you times a hundred, thousand, million for writing this, because you're one of the best writers of this fandom. This was absolutely breath-taking. I can't believe that it's completely over, but this was the perfect epilogue. ♥
