So, I mentioned a polish-spam, and here it is. Because I always try to do too many things at once, a quick breakdown of what is in this post, in case you are dithering over whether you want to click

I can tell you that her bags are well-made, but not cheap. She lines them, and the construction is pretty sturdy. She's got a bunch of bags on sale right now, and if I were made of money, about 5 of them would be miiiiiiiiiiine.
The actual squirrel isn't too complicated, I think. You might be able to do something similar. I just love how cute they are ^^; The owner was actually giggling at my running around the booth deciding which one to get. I wasn't going to buy and then the Boy essentially said, 'If you get one, I will,' and how could I deny him a squirrel??? But her bags are really whimsical and I like them.
There's a local shop here in Seattle that does very similar work, only you go in and pick the fabric and designs yourself (without the cute squirrel's though). I've spent far too much money there.
I do love these bags! She has a ton of really gorgeous ones. There's a line of kind of classic-looking rigid purses that she's used sari and obi fabrics with, and . . . *want*
besides i already went through my polish budget for the month. ^^* as small as it is i need a new external HD and my phone is dying so those trump immediate nail polish purchasing. sadly.
So many awesome (and discontinued D'8) colors! I especially love NNL's Jem line (represent!) and the 7 deadlies <333 AND OH SWEET JESUS SHE HAS MY SO-CALLED LIFE COLORS *dead

Nostalgic Nails is restocking tomorrow night at 7CST/8EST, I think! And I love the Angela polish! But I really love the milkiness of the Pretty in Pink polishes >_<
The Jem polishes--have you seen swatches? Because they are . . . outrageous. Pizzazz and Jem, in particular, though Rio is pretty awesome (and that is the only context in which you will hear that, because I thought Rio was a putz and could no understand why Jerica put up with that shit:/) (Also, Jerica???? *eyeroll*
Thank you for the AOL advice! I think I figured out how to set up a chat room, so it would just be a matter of getting people's schedules lined up . . . I guess first I'd have to see how much actual interest there is. The Boy and I watch concerts relatively often (at least once a month), so I would totally do that with hilarious old concerts too (HIG, anyone?)
Random, but you were mentioning frankens, and I just saw that Pam at Girly Bits --another indie polish person I love and have several polishes form, but for gotto post on because I was tired-- is selling Frankening starter kits and Spectraflair!!!
She includes a recipe for making holos with it. I can see myself doing ridiculous things with that.
She's also selling a holo topcoat as of tomorrow, I think. Think Hits Hefesto, only a little less silvery. *grabby hands* I think she's located in Canada, but I might be delusional on that bit.
Ah man, your nail polish collection is amazing! I'm still squealing over my bottle of unicorn puke and gleefully tell anyone who would be willing to listen about it when I wear that particular polish! I just got my order from Zoya exchange! Currently wearing Kristen for a job interview in Japan on Wed/Thurs. Which means I should realllly be going to sleep right now instead of commenting on LJ cause I have a flight to catch tmrw morning. Heh
I wish you can come to CA to have a viewing party. My friend and I are planning one at her place while we skype with Japan. LOL... which is going to be interesting?
It is an awesome polish! I can't believe my mom wore it something like twice and then shrugged. II think the problem was that she wore it to her water aerobics class, and she, at 60, is the youngest there, I think, and I'm guessing people were all :/ about it. think she's giving her bottle back to me, so I'll have to re-adopt it out, since I have two bottles already, and let's face it; there are very few polishes I need more than one bottle of.
Oooh! Good luck on the interview!! I'm still waiting
I wish I could go to CA for said party too! That sounds kind of spectacular! And . . . interesting ^_~
I'm still waiting for my Zoyas. This reminds me that I really, really need to go to the Container Store for two more blue bins. I gave teal/aqua/turquoise one of the 2 green drawers, and it's not working. So I'm liberating the green drawer so I can have a light green and a dark green drawer and then a pale and deep aqua/turquoise,/teal/peacock drawer. This won't solve my issues in purple, but it's a start. I think I just need

The squirrel bags are really awesome! I definitely recommend just browsing her site; there are so many awesome ridiculous bags. Like, I don't know if you remember a terrible Star Wars bedsheet set from the early 80s, but she must have gotten several sets of them, and she made wallets and bags out of them. SO HILARIOUS. Also, the Chuck Norris and Tom Selleck bags are amusing, though I'd not get one. i think she used to have squirrel pillows, too, so if you wanted a squirrel, but didn't really want a bag
