So, since my past post, I have spent a minimum of 7 hours a day on cookies, and I'm still not done. I might finish by this weekend. But I thought I'd take a short break and post my progress ( Read more... )

oh my god i'm hyperventilating at the AWESOME *_*_*_*_* I WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO EAT THEM. I WOULD COVER THEM IN LACQUER AND HANG THEM ON MY WALL.

Hee! I'm glad you like them! I think a couple of people have shellacked them, but I'm not sure how that turned out, honestly. I worry that the icing might break down, but I'd be interested to find out if it works ^^;

You know, I've only eaten the broken ones ^^; But I seem to have lost my taste for sugar cookies altogether >_< This is fine; I am amused that baking now means that I lose weight instead of gain it ^^;

I feel more insane than awesome at this point. I almost see the end of this, and then I realize that the Dome hair alone will probably take the better part of an entire day to do ^^;

These are really epic cookies. :) The amount of detail you put into the Uta no Onii-san ones is really jaw-dropping. (It's also incredibly generous of you to offer these requests up for fundraising. *raises glass to salute*)

Thank you! I'm really glad that the Kenta-kuns turned out so well&hearts I was really worried about them the entire time. I kept swearing that there were too many steps and that I would never do them again, But honestly, I kind of desperately want to make him again--and maybe keep just one of him.

I think I figured out that since I started these last fall, I've maybe made around 150 or so Arashi cookies in about 25 or 30 styles and I haven't kept a single one ^^; But that one is so cute, I might have to do it ^_^

PLEASE OH GOD PLEASE GIVE ME A OHNO DOME TRENCH AND A OHMIYA SK AND KAIBUTSU-KUN TO GO WITH THE KENTA ONE I ALREADY PAID FOR IF THERE'S ANY LEFT? 8D?

I have one Ohno trench and one Kaibutsukun left, so if you want them, just go ahead and do the donating in the new procedure and I think acidae will just pm me.

As for the Ohmiy, a quick question--I'm short one because an ohno arm broke today >_<

But I'm planning on making a new set or two later this week--would you a) want them, even if it delayed your package a couple of days and b) would you want the versions above (edible, black) or would you want me to try the shinier but inedible versions?

If you still want all 4, just let me know and I'll get started on them as soon as I get the go ahead ^_^v

And I'm cool with waiting for newer and shinier OMSK. I don't mind at all if you're willing to make a spare set for me. :3

Awesome! I'll be cutting those out tomorrow, I think. Tomorrow is the day when I bake all of the rest of the custom cuts--TABOO, Dondake! Sho, and Ohmiya SK. I had done a Dondake template and was all ready, and then I realized tonight that I had put the purse on the wrong side of Sho's body >_<;;; so I'll do them all tomorrow and go to be a bit earlier tonight, which is fine, because I have to go to work early tomorrow, anyway . . .

My goal is to be able to send everyone out on Monday, but it's possible because of all the layers of work that have to dry in between on the Ohmiyas that it might be just a bit later. I'll be sure to let you know when it's all ready ^_^v

You are AMAZING. I can't believe how much work you've put into all of this, and with such wonderful results! I really love each and every one of your cookies. I think my favorite may be Kaibutsu-kun. <3<3<3

Thank you&hearts I'm glad they turned out so well (though one of the bad things about being the one who made them is that I am painfully aware of every little mistake and flaw, so I tend to focus on those ^^; ).

The funny thing with Kaibutsu-kun is that he's really rather simple but for the plaid. I think it's the bright and garish nature of his outfit that makes him so much fun ^_^;
