They had to happen, right? It's kind of a shame that some are just meant to be and therefore predictable, but it would be a crime not to include these They are so specially terrible.

They had loomed so large in my mind that I was kind of shocked at how brief their appearance was. 2 songs, 10 minutes.

And yet. It felt so much longer ^^"

I keep hoping that the AAA2008 dvd can live up to this . . . I was really counting on some of the DAL crack costumes, and fancams just don't have that lovely resolution and detail I love when I'm showing off terrible costumes . . .

Actually they were so horrible I expected you to use them way sooner on so at this point I'd forgotten and totally died when I saw you used them now XD

I'm sure any new Arashi concert that comes out will have equally horrid costumes, so no worries there :P :D

I wonder if I'll be able to find something horrible enough to come after this though.............

I have faith that you will find something ^_^

The nice thing about all the different varieties of horribleness in JE costumes is that you can switch gears. I think we've about covered the "huge costumes of ridiculousness" genre here, but there's always the mismatched costumes, the terrible themes, the borderline pornographic or laughable, the wtfery, the shiny on shiny on shiny on sparkly with a side of shimmer, you know . . .

And I'm happy you'd temporarily forgotten these . . . so I don't feel like they were a waste ^_^

Oh, they're bad. There's no excuse. And in addition to all of that, I forgot to mention the footwear . . . the big bulky white hi-top sneakers. Sho's almost look like little white moon boots ^^" I think they're supposed to coordinate with the sort of sporty look of the pink and white costume, but seriously.

Also, the use of the quasi hip-hop touches for sho in combination with that costume completely crack me up. I think we will not see this costume ever again. I hope so anyway . . .

That said, they are really fun to hate . . . and mock. Which is what the picwars are for in the first place . . .

Well, I think the hip-hop touches for Sho were meant to coordinate with the pink and white costume, since he can't exactly run backstage just to get a cap.

Oh sure, but it's so funny that there is all of this detail and then they layer things in unfortunate ways . . . and how necessary was the cap to the look, anyway?

On the other hand, at least these don't clash nearly as bad as the sequin raincoats over the pajama suits in AAA Dome *__* That was a stroke of layering wtfery I hadn't seen since . . . AAA Taipe with the white and gold coats over the gay disco clown outfits. But at least those didn't clash like the dome ones . . . Boy saw that costume for the first time about a week and a half ago and that was the moment where his brain finally broke. Or maybe it was the plum wine ^^"

I'm half convinced that there's always going to be at least 1 or 2 WTF costumes for Arashi ever concert tour.

God, I hope so . . . they are a lot of fun ^_^

Yeah . . . it's cute that they get the whole arena to do the wave, but . . . hmmm. Actually, I still watch it, mostly for the dorkery and flailing, but it is really hard to wrap my head around these costumes, because they're special, even by JE standards.

But dude...I used to have Parasol, Windy and Moonstone. XD;

BWAHAHAHAHA! Another one!

I did too, and also Skydancer . . . you have no idea how long it took to find and snag decent pictures of them . . . (my old ones, I think, are still at my parents' home, unless they gave them to my cousins or something . . . it's making me kind of nostalgic . . . ) MLP was truly my first weird obsession; after that it went more media; TV shows, etc . . . It's kind of sad that I can still remember quite a few of their names. I'm just irritated that every time they represent them, they get skinnier and skinnier . . . wth, marketing?

. . . um, anyway ^^"

Good luck with the work! *headdesk ( ... )

Pfffft. *dies*

The pairing up with the My Little Ponies is a stroke of GENIUS. Also, I was surprised these outfits didn't appear in the Picwars sooner, I remember being totally blinded when I watched that concert clip. *_*

Just. Why. So much effort. For something so hideous. And I'm not sure the argument for making the members more visible and easy to tell apart could possibly hold water here. Maybe absorb water into the ruffles, but....

So I'm thinking you won't have too many options from the AAA concerts. Taipei was almost...classy for JE, actually. (Oh JE, what oh what have you done to my brain and my questionable taste -_-) Except for the really questionable Truth/Re(mark)able outfits. I had to go back to my notes and confirm.

Good luck with all that grading, my goodness! And please don't die from the drinking game? ♥
