OK people. Here's the deal:
Summary: Picwar = an excuse for me and
lockability to abuse each other with the terrible terrible clothing karma of JE band members. This has now been going on . . . for a while. When will it end??? I have no idea of this. I do know, however how it will end. In tears. Probably not hers or mine.

i remember going... 'ooh! torn pieces of cloth put together'
i t-thought the designers forgot to make a costume and went like 'let's just cut down this curtain... and that one... and who has cellotape?'
(>.<)
but that Cinderalla theory sounds just about right.
Nino totally cooked a rabbit for nosing his Oh-chan, which explains the horrendous yellow cape/ gay shorts.
I love Ohno's accessories as well.
i wonder if his mom brought it from him...?
"I know you're gay, son but let's not let our relatives know, ok?"
XDD
Jun, on the other hand, is The Hime. So he has no problem dressing like a girl.
He can totally pull of a pair of Jimmy Choo.

I . . . just had to look up Jimmy Choo, and I totally agree. I think Jun needs a pair of hooker boots ^_^
This costume . . . definitely has he Cinderella vibes and more specifically, the improvised then torn apart dress, which sadly in the movie was the pink dress instead of the blue one, which would be <9>perfect. i think they are going for the etherial prince look--and it just comes out as princess, which works better for some and less well for others.
Ohno's butch leather bracelet totally cracks me up. In another context, I wouldn't even blink at it and would think it's pretty cool, but with this outfit . . . *dissolves in giggles*
Jun's turquoise/agate/ honkin' big light green and brown stone pendant is hilarious in this song (you can see it better in the Lucky Man performance, since he wears it throughout the concert, but with this outfit it's pretty funny because it swings out just like he braids, but doesn't go with the rest of the look at all. With his OCD tendencies, I'd ( ... )

nothing is exaggeration when it comes to arashi &hearts
i t-think ohno would've drawn the line on pink shredded curtains outfit.
(>.<)
and i know about jun's massively huge pendant.
i think he really liked that accessory, like his skull ring...?
because i've seen him with that pendent in a couple of arashi shows and alot of the photoshoots.
i also think that when it comes to disastrous costumes, aiba's the best in pulling it off.
the hair, maybe? or his face...?
well, soemthing that Johnny saw anyways.
*waves back*
how's... uh, class?
i hate mine

Well . . . let's just say that I'm really looking forward to next semester's classes ^^"
Though I'm surviving. It's only about 4 1/2 weeks left . . . so I'll make it. *crosses fingers*
I would like to think that Ohno would draw the line at the pink curtains . . . but seriously. Do you remember the costumes from 2008 Marks Dream-a-live? I wouldn't bet on it ^^"
And Jun's pendant did seem to be a perennial favorite . . .I don't remember seeing it recently, but it wouldn't surprise me if it made a comeback ^_^
And I think you're right about Aiba and the disastrous costumes-I think it's his charisma, honestly. Not that they aren't all charismatic, because--duh, idols, but I think Aiba's sense of whimsy helps him to carry off even the most insane costume designs. That's my story anyway, and I'm sticking to it ^^

I do not deal well with stress! I have managed to unfurl myself from the little ball of hibernation, my body has chosen as a coping mechanism. The stress has left the building! *cheers* Thank you for the advice and sympathy at the weekend. It helped! ♥♥♥♥♥
I am now catching up with Arashi. Have you seen the Heyx3 talk? It certainly improved my mood.
How's life treating you this week? Has the grading mountain shrank any?

I am glad you can relax a bit more&hearts
I have heard of the Heyx3 talk, but didn't know if it had been subbed *fails*
I will have to check it out . . .
How bad is it that despite the fact that I don't have traditional TV service, I'm monitoring the election from two computers--one running MSNBC and the fivethirtyeight site is on the other ^^"
Grading pile is down a bit, which means I should be reading the Aeneid, but . . . election! Livejournal! Arashi! Somehow, the Aeneid isn't really there . . .
Have you found somehting really nice and indulgent to do for yourself, having survived the fraternal invasion?

Okay, so I totally had to look this up, as there was a giant neon ??? floating above my head. I read about 30 seconds into the description... then ran away, slightly scared I can see why other distractions may seem more tempting!
Heyx3 hasn't been subbed yet, but there is a full translation up. or you could just watch it for the few seconds of Nino pinning Aiba to the stage to stare at his ass...
Ah, I remember staying up all night and watching the last US election. All of the TV commentary agreed that Bush was never, ever going to win. By early morning there was a lot of very confused news casters desperately trying to backtrack. It's not my country, but from what I've seen, I'm shaking my pom poms in Obama's direction. I might have to turn on the TV and watch a little.

Not really, but being free of them is reward enough. Even the dog has relaxed!

Wheeee! \o/
Let's just say that I remember being very depressed and just a bit tipsy after the 2004 election T__T Iw as in such shock. I was at a friend's house. I called her tonight to reminisce, but I think she's still teaching. I'm originally from Illinois, too, so I think of Obama as my senator ^^"
Ooh. I will have to watch that video!!!
Ah--the Aeneid--roman epic by Virgil, sort of a foundation narrative for Rome, where Aeneas son of Venus is a Trojan survivor trying to fulfill Zeus' promise that he will found a great immortal empire . . . I have about 150 pages left of it to read . . . and I'm teaching Paradise Lost for the first time on Thursday >_< So it's all about the epics for me this week . . .
*slumps*
But . . it must be done . . .
I just caught up on all the newly subbed stuff in the last week--the Johnny's sports thing was kind of adorable in places ^_^
