silly little things

A silly thing that is bothering me: waking up at 7.00 for the second freakin' morning in a row. ARGH. Wednesday, it was because I decided to be at the University Square farmers' market site by 8.30, to be around during setup because of construction/parking logistics. I'm surprised you don't have single stream recycling, as my orange house did. It came in like a year ago or something (actually, to be honest I think it started on March 5 but I don't remember if it was this year or last year) and was a very nice development. My new house has it too - yay!

I think we do, too -- except I always forget, because my brain automatically separates recycleable material! In this case, I was more excited about having an entire recycling bin to fill with my own recycling, instead of sharing a bin with the rest of the apt. bldg., and the single-stream recycling was just a cherry on the top. ;)

Yay, cat to the vet! Any special news, like how old she is or how much she weighs or how to cut those back claws? I'm still afraid to do that.

Also, you totally punked on your meme tag. ; )

Yes, I feel like a responsible parent now! :)

Age -- probably around 4, which fits with my friend's estimate of 2 years when she drove her from IN to me. It feels right.

Weight -- 11-something lbs. Not a huge problem, but perhaps a little less food. ;)

Back claws -- a 2-person job. One sort of holds the cat under one's arm. I am really appreciating her trimmed front claws, so I am all for forming a claw-trimming consortium.

I know! I'm still stuck on what I was doing 10 years ago!

I hope the craziness in preparation for your mom's visit was effective...
