Have you ever played 'flinch'?

Why do I read things that make me cry? Because it needs to be done. The standard reaction to horror, fear, or pain is to flinch and look away.

I do something similar, only visual instead of read. I think that if the leaders of the world had to dig through a pile of random severed limbs and gore, whilst repeating the mantra, "I helped do this," over and over... The world would certainly be a different place.

Unfortunately, one of the first things we are taught as children is how to shift blame and voiciferously declare our innocence. After a while, we begin to even believe our own internal propaganda.
