It's snowing again.

Hard.

I love living in New England, and I like snow, but OMG....

I hope those of you in the path of this storm are safe and warm.

no tag for you!

It's snowing again here, too. I am so against it. The thing keeping me going is that my employed is (surprise!) sending me to Miami in two weeks. It's for a conference, so I'll be inside a lot, but my god, every moment I'm not required to be at a panel, I'm going to stand outside and soak up the sun. If it even thinks of raining I'll be pissed :D

Ooooooh, that sounds lovely. We watched an episode of Modern Family after dinner, and they were in Hawaii. I said to mr. muse that to watch that episode with a snowstorm raging outside must count as some form of torture.

I hope your trip to Miami is absolutely glorious!

I hope you guys do okay! You're due to get more than we do, I think, and I hope you keep power on so the Diablo II marathon can continue! <3

It passed through my way this afternoon. We got the 4 of the 2-4 they predicted. On another day, I might have skipped the shoveling, but the driveway - what little exists of it beyond the snow mounds - has a solid layer of ice on the bottom. It's a gravel driveway, so it can't be shoveled clean. We count on the fact that normal around here are below freezing nights mixed with above freezing days.

And because of that and because you mentioned slipping above, Mom and I picked up a set of these stretchy shoe spikes. They work like a charm. For most shoes I can put them on one handed. My boots have a rounded toe, so I have to sit down for them.

At around 6pm, I guess the last of the weather started pushing through with the "blow your house down" wind. It's gotten worse in the last hour.

I hope you don't get too much more, but the forecast didn't look promising for Eastern Long Island up through New England. We get our next one on Tuesday.

I want to cure the groundhog, but he's only the messanger.

Oh, ugh, the ice! I hope you guys melt soon! I'm glad you have those shoe spikes; I have a pair of something similar, though haven't had to break them out this year yet.

We only got a couple of inches of snow last night, thank goodness. Some places out on the Cape got over 15". Yikes.
