Don't get too discouraged by work. The holiday season is always a hectic time, especially if you are in retail... You shouldn't have too much trouble finding another position! Everyone is trying to get extra help this time of year... you know how people turn into monsters around the holidays, so stores definitely want all the help they can get.
Everyone gets into slumps where they just aren't feeling very creative (art major here) and don't want to draw or paint. haha. Sometimes a break is constructive, changing scenery really is a good idea. Keep your chin up, things are gonna get more positive

I'm sorry to hear about your job suckiness! I'm sure it will turn around for you! Retail can be a real nightmare, especially around the holidays! (I worked 7 years in retail... Blarg.) I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! :D
