I have, no joke, at least 9 different rough drafts of the new fic I'm working on. And I wonder why I'm not getting anywhere with my writing, lol. Everything I put down is just going in circles

On the clone topic, I don't think I would do it either. Hypothetically speaking, if an "instant" version of cloning were to be invented, and I could submit a swab of the inside of my mouth one day and come back the next to meet my clone, the implications would far outweigh the benefits.
Although an exact copy of me, my clone still has her own brain and would, more likely than not, have a different personality. We might share quite a bit in common in interests, but I can hardly expect her to choose the same career as I did or even live in the same city I do.
Plus, my biggest fear would be that my clone becomes more successful than I am, and that would just make me spiral into depression.
And better that you have 9 drafts of a fic than the ZERO that I've got. You're writing!
