Unfortunately, this was what I called a "TRUE" gold ink, in that it looked as gold as gold gilding on china or brightly polished gold jewellery. And Scripp no longer makes it, although for the longest time this stuff was a "dime store" staple

It occurs to me that, duh! I have two old leather jackets I was going to sacrifice for scrap anyway just lying around; I should test some patches with various paints and mediums.
I'm going to be looking into new gold paints for other projects soon now, so if I find something very "true" I'll definitely let you know about it.
