And the dance goes on.

It's been a fair while since two of my immortal progeny ganged up to show me the door. At least I got out unscathed this time. Who says immortals never make progress in their relationships?

True.  It has been a while hasn't it?  You'll survive it. You did the last time.

Concentrate on those who still love you.

Who is not mad enough?

I shall have to drive them insane by singing the song that never ends.  It goes on and on my friends someone started singing it no knowing what it was and they'll continue singing it forever just because...This is the song that never ends it goes on and on my friends.... (I'll post the actual song in my lj I'm sure youtube has it)

Ha!

No-one is mad enough! The world needs more insanity because what it calls sanity is skewed.

Are you still singing?

I agree.  The world has a very twisted sense of what it calls sanity.  Has been that way for thousands of years really.

We never learn anything.  Not really.  Despite the advancements we're still greedy power hungry slobs.

Ha!  I haven't stopped singing.

It plays in my head over and over.  Far beyond the 10hr video in my lj.

Ten hours?

Yes. I've often said it, but I'll say it again. What surprises me is only how little the world ever changes. Forget all the glitzy new technology or whatever strange practice is now in vogue, the world is just the same as it ever was. People don't change. There will always be a war. There will always be a corrupt leader. There will always be a plethora of people in power who want more power. There will always be greed. On and on.

Yes.  The youtube video of the song in my lj was 10 hours of that song on a loop.  No idea how they got around youtube ' s time limit.

No they never change.  It's disheartening at times.  Seeing the same hatred and violence from 30 yrs ago going on today.  Well really it's the same violence and hatred from thousands of years ago but I only lived the last 4 decades thus far (God has it been 4 decades?  Lord I am old) I didn't live thousands of years ago.   It's always the same something bad happens and we seek to put a band aid on it then do something that feels good for a while until the next tragedy then the cycle begins again.  Pretty soon I'm going to sound like Rust from True Detective season 1.

I cannot find it in me to be interested in politics because of it. I think you must be truly young to imagine that what is happening now, whenever now is, is somehow new and exciting and profound. It's just the same old record.

SSDD Same shit different day.  To borrow from Stephen King.

Yeah same old song and dance for thousands of years except maybe the dancers aren't quite the same and the music is more electronic and less organic.

Time is a flat circle and we are doomed to repeat life over and over.

Something or someone needs to shake up the established order and create a little chaos.

If I ruled the world, every day would be the first day of spring,
Every heart would have a new song to sing
And we'd sing of the joy every morning would bring.

My campaign manager's first job would be to persuade me that I want to rule the world.

Just think how easy it would be to get a drink.  You could have all you can drink vampire bars set up in every city of the world.

I'm not starving for want of a drink. Imagine the tedium of ruling.

You can just appoint lackies to do all the tedious stuff and the paper work.

All you gotta do is sit on your golden throne with velvet cushions.

You could have blood served in a golden chalice.

Servants to massage your feet..

A red velvet robe..

< --- was this a rehearsal? Crown and all.

It still sounds very tedious.

Ha! I forgot about that avatar.  See? You're already wearing a crown.

It doesn't have to be tedious.  You could be an unconventional ruler.

Just have everyone singing and drinking wine they won't even notice you're not being tedious.
