so that's what it looks like

I've finished playing Uru. And the To D'ni expansion pack. And I've found the easter egg thingy. Now I feel all fnurply, like Robinson Crusoe coming back from his island or something. Hello, world.

Watched Finding Nemo, but I think maybe the contrast was too jarring or something, cause it didn't really hook me. Too full of small bouncy colorful ( Read more... )

Actually, I did read an "undercover in a club" HP story--Harry had to pretend to be Snape's pet in an S&M club...if you're interested in a link, I can hunt for it.

I'm not really the world's biggest fan of S&M, in clubs or otherwise, so please don't go to any trouble unless you have the link right under your nose. :) Though it occurs to me that HP as a fandom could have some potential with the "going undercover as muggles" idea.

You know, I think you could work out a LotR story along those lines when Aragorn was in Ecthelion's service years ago as "Thorongil". I mean, a big city like Minas Tirith? There's bound to be a seedy underground. Maybe not exactly a "gay bar" in the modern sense, but if one isn't too purist about Middle Earth, it could work... Ecthelion could ask his trusted aide to investigate some dark plot or something.

Hee! He could go undercover as a pervy orc fancier.

Gah. I have to admit I'm one of those narrow-minded, easily squicked people who find orc slash gross. Okay, so orcs might have sex, I guess that's even likely if you look at their raping and pillaging and such, but I don't want to read about non-orcs having sex with orcs voluntarily, and I don't particularly care to read about orcs having sex with each other either.

It saddens me deeply that my current fandom is not really the kind where it's easy to work up a convincing "undercover in a gay bar" scenario.

Dude. Think about all the times that [insert younger baby!sync member of choice here] snuck out after lights out to go to a gay bar, and [insert older baby!sync member of choice here] found out, but didn't want to get him into trouble with [insert mom/management obstacle of choice here]. So [insert older baby!sync member of choice here] snuck out too, in disguise so he could keep an eye on [insert younger baby!sync member of choice here], and had to drink and dance with guys so as not to blow his cover. And that was when [insert older baby!sync member of choice here] ran into [insert middle age ranking/other older baby!sync member of choice here] in the same bar, and then *stuff* happened.

Titles. I've always admired justdestined as a title. I love things where the font and style are an extra part of the meaning of the words.

Also, I like 'Does Your Mother Know That You're Out?' I ( ... )

Oh, I love stories like that. But those stories aren't really that story. I mean, hmm. I'm going to have to think about this.

when I recover from Livin' Doll, and also stop singing the damn song.

There is a brief beginning of a part three, and now I don't remember any more why I somehow got put off those stories, so maybe I can look at it again. :)

I've always thought it was absolutely one of the creepiest songs I've ever head.

Take a look at her hair, it's real
If you don't believe what I say, just feel
I'm gonna lock her up in a trunk so no big hunk
Can steal her away from me

Because, well. Yeah. My grandma used to sing it to my and my sister when we were little. I have a feeling that kind of thing explains a lot.
