I did get my story finished last night - I think I was mostly asleep writing the last parts, so I reread it this morning to see how it ended.

The Berrigan challenge is live! Go read! This is my story:

JC goes looking for inspiration love in all the wrong right places.

I love the conversations between Justin and JC and how much sense those make. To them. :)

Oh man, that was very lovely. And not only because it's JuC *g* but because it sets such a wonderful mood which is beautiful and amusing at the same time. I love songwriting!JC and I can imagine him going on one of those little writing trips. He needs time to process stuff! Sweet indeed. Thanks. :D

Mm, JuC. :) Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I like to think about JC-the-songwriter and how he might actually go about it, even though I ended up putting less about that into the story than I thought I would.

Here are a few things I love about your popslash stories.

You set this beautiful mood. It's like you set out to light a set, and you're just so good at it, that I never doubt the source of the light, or even wonder or worry where it's coming from. It's just sure, and there, and good.

You don't write down to anyone, not the reader nor the characters. You don't explain everything until you're good and ready to, but neither do you ever drag things out beyond their fresh sale date and get annoying with it.

Your dialogue? *Guh*. Impressive enough when you had four seasons of televised tv shows to work from, but how you're nailing hip 20-year-old-boy speak? I don't know. But they always sound real.

There's more of course, there's mango sorbet, but I'll stop here. ;-)

Here are a few things I love about your feedback. You're very articulate. You say complimentary things, and you say them so well that the tips of my ears turn pink. And you like the mango sorbet!

Seriously, thank you very much. You give me something to try to live up to. :)
