ready for the comfort now

I am starting to suspect that while I wasn't looking, someone decided to rewrite my life as a comedy episode of House. I mean, I had health issues, I had surgery, I felt all loopy and had lying-on-the-couch recovery time, so far, so good. Then I got some side effects from the surgery and felt all loopy again. Then I got some fairly intense ( Read more... )

I don't seem to be very good at imagining you loopy, but I'm sure it's very cute. Instead I will endeavour to find packaging and make it to the Post Office. Hope things start improving soon.

I don't know about cute, I'll settle for not falling off the chair. :) Are you mailing yourself to me? That sounds nice. I could use a housekeeper some company!

is this still the M7 kick, and if so: ... Vin or Ezra? It *could* be JD too, actually, but there aren't many authors who covered all those options for him. Maybe two of them?

And *hugs* for the loopiness and the repeated interventions to fix the last lot :-(

You are most perspicacious. Ezra, in this case, though I'm pretty sure I can track down a writer or two with a similar output starring Vin, yes. I just couldn't stop reading, I had to find out what kind of damage he'd take next!

Maybe I'll try something less gruesome tonight.

if you are in a mood for gruesome, tho, I remember that Duo/Treize story epic where they fall in love against all odds, and Duo is already a poor widdle Duo at the beginning of the story, but due to insane!Zechs and insane!Dr[insert number of Duo's insane Scientist], and the insane people he used to hang around with, and ... oh, did I mention the incredibly thoughtless other pilots!, he ends up in a little mentally and physically scarred package. And Treize, too!

I think the only thing that the author *didn't* have happen to them was having one being forced to kill the other - although, quite frankly, I was waiting for it to get that bad.

I couldn't stop reading, because I couldn't wait to see what else she was going to do to them. It was horribly written, too...

If you want less gruesome, did I ever pimp that long and very nice Heero/Wufei story to you?

(I'll have to think a bit about badfic-ish summaries for your fic, and it's really past my bedtime.)

(*careful hug*)

*snoofits* I hope you start feeling better v. soon.

Okay, so I forgot the fandom and the pairing, but I know these two really liked each other, even though one was kind of tiny and fragile and the other really buff with long hair, and the tiny one went on some kind of dangerous mission. I think he was a master thief of some kind. And then he got back and shared his loot with the big guy, yay! I'm not sure if they had sex or not. But it was a really good story anyway.

I've already decided I suck at this meme (maybe I should practice more *g*) but ooooh, new(ish?) website layout! It looks really cool.

I'm sorry to hear about your health; loopy can be fun but probably not all the time. *hugs*

Yay thanks! Someone noticed! *g* I spent ages struggling with css and I suspect the result is nothing to be proud of code-wise, but at least it looks the way I wanted it to. :) Am less loopy now, which is very nice, except for the part where I now have to do all the stuff I couldn't do when I was loopy... *hugs back*

Don't know if it'll make you feel better, but your fic was the subject of conversation around my house last night. I had forwarded "Heart of Glass" to Offspring v1.01 and we were gleefully going over some of our favorite lines (Rodney waved an accusing hand at him. "You have to stop this," he said, "this, this sneaking up on people and, and lounging at them. What are you doing here, anyway?" Hee!), and she reminded me that you had been her introduction to Gundam Wing fandom, back in the day. I think she sat down to re-read "Clouds and Lions" last night. I'm going to point her at your XF fic when she's done with that (or, more likely, with your entire GW oeuvre, since I doubt she'll stop after just one story), because Ghosts and Lovers are my favorite XF novels in the history of ever.

And looking at your page, I see you snuck in a new SPN story that I haven't read yet, so I know what I'm doing for the next half hour. *g*

This comment cheered me up for days. Seriously. It's like the big warm fuzzy fleece blanket of comments. I had a huge (loopy) grin on my face. Now that I'm less loopy, I want to give you my most sincere thanks, and likewise thanks to Offspring v1.0, of the charming designation. :) Also? I am in awe of your stylish use of footnotes in comments.
