cimmerians is Mairead Triste on lj. Oh, and Aristide, of course. Cool. (Sleepy ponder of the morning: maybe I should split my writing self in two. flambeau could be the one who does the wacky romcom with the endless banter, and torch could be the one who does the awfully solemn stories where nothing really happens, but in deeply significant ways. Oh yeah, that throwaway beatification line totally foreshadows the rest of the show except it's not Rodney who is sainted... Carson becomes the redeeming God of a Wraith cult, he's kidnapped and taken to a Wraith stronghold where he's worshipped and expected to maintain the new 'holy ones'. The also consider 'Michael' their first martyr.

You see, the Wraith who rescued him were divided in opinion on what had been done to him by the Atlanteans: some thought it the next stage of Wraith development, a holy punishment for their sins, the others thought he was abomination and killed him as soon as they understood what had been done. The 'Saint Michael' sect rose up and killed their hive queen and those who martyred Michael and plotted to locate and retrieve Carson so he can maintain them all in the holy redemptive state.

Honest.

Okay, now I am all sad, because I bet whatever does happen in the episode won't be nearly as much fun as this would have been. woe!

Shhh! She hasn't seen the rest of the ep yet, and you know, there are people out there trying to remain unspoiled! Some poeple. *tch*

(But I've got to say that the news about the Ronon-Sateda-Satan connection just blew me away *g*. I never thought of Morningstar with dreads, but now I have it seems strangely obvious.)

And, torch, hee! Doctor Who! hampden and I can stop plotting ways to make you watch it... Have you seen the Christmas Invasion too? Would you like to? *g*

Some people, indeed.

(But now I really am going to sit down and watch it.)

Yes, I've seen the Christmas Invasion, too. therienne is very thorough. *g* I'm still trying to adjust to the new guy. Although it helped that he had to adjust, himself. *g*

What is FMA :)?

Tried Kim Harrison yet "Dead witch walking" or Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden books, or Rachel Caine's "Weather Warden" series? Prefer these to the Sookie books. LostHouse has started me on the Nightside books as I accidentally took her three books and came home with 12 of her's (plus others) Ooops?

There are vague British plans to invade Sweden some time this year although as there was interest in both long summer nights and Pre-Christmas glogg and snow realising said plans may prove challenging.

FMA is Full Metal Alchemist, a really spiffy anime series that I think you'd love, well, except for the part where it really is a violent angst-fest with maiming and death. *kof*

I'll make a note of those books - I'm not sure I'm financially sound right now but maybe I'll find someone who has them to lend.

Come on over! You can always stay for a really long time...

FMA (thwacks head) Of course! Ari was pimping (surprise, surprise) and telling me to ask you for them but LostHouse's Marcus has them and so can hopefully get copies from him and Tem (who has them on her memory stick or external hard drive - there was much copying last weekend)

You can warn me about the angst-fest, the Weiss Gluhen ending hit me hard because a) bad timing and b) longstanding fandom. Shouldn't be a problem with a new series says the wimp.

Books, not a priority to buy, but those are fun reads if you can borrow them. Will check with you if we make it over.

Don't tempt me :) But this really is an invasion: Temaris, LostHouse, Moonlettuce and myself. But four of us means we can carry more books!

The DT Casanova was a pop art version but very entertaining, I see Giglet has it on file.

FMA is really wonderful. I adore it madly, and angst-wise, it didn't break my heart, exactly (though it did break my head *g*). Warmly recommended.

And it would be great to see you, one and all, whenever you decide on an appropriate season. *G*

Please ignore the sentiment in my icon -- it's the only DW icon I have at the moment. Such a great show! (I love the hand-holding, as well.)

It's shiny! I should make myself a hand-holding icon. Every time they did that I made a squeaking little noise. So much love.

Yay! I'm so glad you like Doctor Who!

I wanted to link you to the tentacleporn (aka handholding) screencaps, but they have moved/gone away.

Oh, that's a good meme. The hand-holding would come very, very high on my list. :) Although it would never have occurred to me to call it tentacleporn... *g*

I can't do it, though, not for any of the *counts* 45 *ohdeargod* WIPs on my hard drive. Hey, I could still be struck with inspiration and finish one of these stories!

I feel you. I contemplated it (without counting them, b/c that's just masochism), but in the end the what if stopped me. WHAT IF?!

*lol* sadly, she doesn't even show up in chat anymore, and you know how scarce she makes herself on LJ, but I'll surely poke her when I see her!
