no more cheese for me

because I took a nap and dreamed that Captain Carrot was patrolling the streets of Ankh-Morpork wearing his bright red uniform and his shiny boots and his Stetson, and was accompanied by Angua and Diefenbaker, who were not getting along, and Corporal Littlebottom and Frannie, who were swapping beauty tips, and there were dwarfish Inuit stories ( Read more... )

Dreams are of the Good, and you watch too much due South. :)

In the everlasting search for Good Times To Meet Up - what are you doing on Friday?

Nothing, I'm reasonably sure. Let's arrange to meet up then, quickly, before anything else happens. :)

Then fortunately the dream changed to something about a labyrinth built from cell phones and a secret agent hunting for a chocolate torte. But I'm scared to ever go to sleep again.

Hee. Though as dream trauma goes, this is far preferable to dreaming about spiders crawling up one's arm, I think.

Spiders are kind of disturbing. (I don't mind them so much except when I worry they're going to get into my hair.) But Frannie and Cherie Littlebottom were talking about nail polish!

Yay for crossover dreams! :D That reminds me, actually...

Um, I managed to misplace the comment where you mentioned joining pornish_pixies and hp_crossovers (after I, um, begged you and salivated all over your stories), so I hope you don't mind if I reply here.

You see, LJ has turned on its head once again, and as a result community invites no longer work as they once did. I have invited you to both the above communities, but you'll no longer get an e-mail telling you so. (Alas!) Instead, you'll have to manually go over here to approve any invitations you might have.

Please do ask me if you've got any other questions! Sorry about taking so long to get back to you. :)

Aha! I did wonder what had happened, but then work went crazy on me so it was a distant, vague kind of wondering. *g* Have joined now - thanks! :)

wow. That is one of those crosspollinations that works on scarily many levels. Had you made that parallel before you went to sleep? Or was it entirely a product of your subconscious dream brain?

I've been rereading Pratchett as well as watching DS, and yesterday it struck me that Carrot's way of expecting something from people was very familiar; then my dreaming mind decided to show me the full implications of this stray thought. :) I don't think it would work as a crossover, but as a fusion, now...
