hi, world

So apparently my email isn't working the way it should. Hasn't been for a couple of days, except that they've been the kind of days where I didn't really have time to notice. But now I'm noticing, and steps are being taken, and meanwhile I'm doing lj-as-messageboard. halimede, sent you money in an envelope today, squeak if it doesn't arrive within a ( Read more... )

No problem at all, but do tell me. Has it arrived yet? The other Scandinavian-addressed ones did, so, timely manner and all that.

Oh, yes, it got here several days ago, I just didn't manage to change and send money until today - sorry about that! It's been a disorganized kind of week in some ways. I'm hoping for some improvement by tomorrow. :)

Don't worry about the money. You'll probably be the first person to have it in the mail, and that's fine. Take longer if you need to, as long as I get it at some point. I just wanted to know if it had arrived okay. :) Hope you like it!

I just finished watching all of DS season one recently. I am hoping to get into season two very soon. I have never seen the pilot either. Before, all I had ever seen was season three ep. I could never understand how people could like RayV when RayK is so much prettier. Not to erupt any Ray wars here. I just could not imagine it. Now. Guess What?? I love RayV. Maybe it was the Victoria arch. I don't know. RayV just seems to have a lot more chemistry with Fraser. Anyway, I think you need to write a really epic fic for DS. Some grand along the lines of the XF fic you did or China, my all time fav fic ever.

Hee! I have trouble enough finishing stories in already-active fandoms, sadly... I love RayV madly, so with you there, but I can't slash him with Fraser. (I should qualify that with an any more, because I did once.) With RayK, now...

RayV, RayK, I would not complain. Still it sounds like you are in a Due South state of mind and maybe you will be inspired to write. I'm just saying that I would not complain. My sis says with the dvds coming out that Due South is turning into the fandom that ate Cincinnati. Besides writing in closed fandoms makes it so much easier, right? :-)

btw, I am 4 eps into season 2.

Yes, I'm eyeing those DVDs with definite interest. Closed fandoms are very nice, there are no surprises (muttergrumbleorderofthephoenixmutter), though I always get this weird feeling when it comes to setting stories anywhere but after the end of everything, once you do know where the end of everything is, if you see what I mean. :)

I've only got two eps to go on season 2 now, w00t!

Let the flogging commence! lash!

No, no. I shall just gloat quietly over here. Until I remember that overall, you've written many times what I've written, so. *g*

It was a hectic week. Start again tomorrow! I have faith in you. *mwah*

100 words last night before bed! 113, actually, I think it was. So I'm back on track. :)

Dude, he and Fraser really are very much alike, especially in the way that they are really devoted to their duty, by which they both mean "my duty as I see it" and not "my duty as dictated to me by my superiors, who when not downright incompetent are too wrapped up in politics to realize that certain things Just Need Doing."

Also in the way they have reputations for being freakishly good at their jobs while still being regarded as sort of a freak by most of their co-workers.

Fraser's mask is courtesy and Klaus' is bad temper, but fundamentally they're both serving the same purpose, I think. Also both men are using duty/family legacy etc as substitutes for actual human relationships.

Until they meet someone who refuses to take them at face value. But I digress. *G*

Yes, yes, yes! That's exactly what I mean. And they sort of have fathers-to-live-up-to, too. I like both the similarities and the related differences between them (Fraser's unarmed ways and Klaus's habit of shooting at everything). I suspect Dief would not be flattered by being compared to the Alphabets, though. :)
