Are you watching yet? Because if not, you really need to start. This show is made of brilliance. it buils up slow and in the very beginning I was merely liking it but now that I'm 8 episodes in that is quickly turning into being blown away ( Read more... )

totally agree! the potential is amazing! As long as people can get through the first few episodes, it all starts coming together. easier to follow the characters etc. Admittedly, it took those first few to sort of, align myself with them. understand who they were etc, but now...it really is amazing.

I think, alot of the reviews are because, they want to be captured immediately...be able to get involved with the characters right off the bat. Sadly, like in alot of TV programming, we've been spoiled and become lazy IMO. If we don't like a book within the first few pages, we set it aside. If the first 15 of a movie doesn't get us, we change it, same with TV.

this one...we have to take the time to get their own stories. Just like a normal relationship, it takes time to evolve. Hopefully it'll stick around.

Yes! This!

I have the impression that the reviews are getting better though. There was the initial very enthusiastic wave of proffessional critics. Then a wave of not so great reviews from quick watchers of the first episodes. And now the people who got hooked come out of the woodwork.

I'm pretty confident, it will get renewed. I mean, what's not to love. Every character is an individual gem and with JMS driving the plot will lead somewhere.

I love all the characters. Usually I can pick a favorite in a series, but not so much yet. They are all so diverse, they're all gorgeous, they're all heart-breakingly vulnerable.

I do have my favorites, I think. I really do love Lito and Amanita, Capheus and Sun best. But I like all the others too and they all keep me glued to the screen.

And I really love how well they did the interconnection thing. How they are so very vulnerable as indivduals but border to superheroes as a group.
