I don't like seeing attempted rape or rape on television because it makes me uncomfortable, however, I am also aware enough of the books and the show (and the history in the Middle Ages) to know that women did not have the same rights then as they do now.

I will agree that it would be great to see Sansa get some agency as a result of this marriage instead of continuously pushing her into a victim's role.

The way I see it, GoT is in part a horror story about the horrors of war and rape is a big part of that. To write a series with this much graphic violence and to ommit the sexual aspect is not really possible.

I also think that by mostly avoiding the main characters, GRRM is dancing around it.

But if Sansa is just made a plot device in Theon's motivation it would really piss me off.

I want her to destroy Ramsey Bolton. But Theon deserves to off Ramsey, too for his own torture.

They can tag team. Ramsey must die.

But yes. Sansa's story needs to be Sansa not just fodder for Theon.

Oh and I want Sansa to murder Littlefinger for all that he's done to her.

Both she and Theon have personal vengeance coming on Ramsey but Littlefinger belongs to her.

Any Stark taking out Roose has claims. So if Arya or Rickon get him. Or Sansa. I can accept.

But this had better serve Sansa's story. Totally agree.

So much yes to Sansa taking down Littlefinger. I want him to return north, finding her queen of the north and himself at the unfriendly end of a direwolf because she finally got his role in what happened to her father.

And of course the Bolton's have to go. They are just horrid and not even interesting the way say Tywin Lannister was.

I share your concern about how Sansa's storyline might just turn into some plot device to serve Theon's journey instead of being her own, but for me the weakest part of the episode was the Dorne stuff. Bad bad writing et silly execution.

Oh yes, the Dorne stuff was abysmal. The sandsnakes come off as so ridiculous and everybody is in these bloody watergardens. How can it be so easy to get in there?
