Very cool issue again, but I'll never be able to adapt to how short those comic books are, it's like having just a spoon foul of something tremendously delicious.
So the senior partners are yanking the chain on Wesley. I wonder what will happen to him. Angel has far less need of him, now that he is reunited with the rest of the team. No one is

Just awwwwwww! As long as nobody can prove me wrong, I 'll see that as a canon Spangel love declaration :).

I loved it too. Actually I really like the whole series so far. I think it's awesome how many drastic changes Brian made to the setting and characters and yet he makes me feel so at home there.
I really hope the comic becomes popular enough for some merchandise to spawn. I'm thinking playboy spike here...
Loved to hear from you sweetie. I'm glad you're enjoying it so much.

I love how Gunn's orchestrating everything, and how he was going to jump right in to save one human. Big hee! at "So how many civilians that we save can we eat? Like, can you give me a ratio?" *snicker* Also looking forward to seeing what his reaction to Wesley is ( ... )

I totally agree and it was really a pleasant surprise. In the first few issues I was really unhappy with Illyria and Gwen but it seems that he's got the hang now. It's cool to see an artist improve in a running series.
Lorne was indeed brilliant in this issue. He is so right, no where in hell that anyone can keep track of all the demon species around in this place.
I liked the reveal that he isn't working with W&H
Wes obviously isn't totally under their control, but he still is pretty much wild card I think. I wonder how he will react to Illyria's ,uhm, labile state.

I loved this issue a lot. It felt so true to the spirit of the show - not just in the characterisation (adored the Spike/Angel and Spike/Illyria and Gunn stuff to pieces) but in the many shades of grey, encapsulated in poor Wesley.
What is to become of him?

I guess riding into battle in Malibu attire would have been too much, even for a comic book. They suddenly look a lot like the junior slayers.

Oh yes! It feels so much like the show, despite all that large changes in the setting. I could marvel at it forever.
Wes really is in a horrible place. I'm glad he has control over his actions but I still think there is going to be a lot of creepy stuff in stock for him. Not to mention split personality Illyria.

I really have a hard time sussing out what Gunn's up too. Dammit that character is so twisted it's utterly brilliant. I really can't tell on which side he's going to interfere.
I've got the impression that he wants to set all demon lords against each other and see them mutually exterminated. So that he could become the one and only lord of Hell-A.

Probably but I'm still not so sure what he would want to do with team Angel. I can't wait for him to meet them. There are several very interesting confrontations coming. First I think seeing Fred again might get to him. Then he's bound to hate that Angel regained his humanity. And then there is Spike, who tried to be a good guy without a soul quite long for himself.
