*Studies fic* OK, I have over 3,000 words now... *Ducks projectiles hurled by irate procrastinators* Yes, yes, I know it looks annoying from that side of the fence, but it isn't great from this side, either. Wow, it definitely sounds like we have similar fic projects for cornerflag this time around. Mine is getting long this time as well (3000+ words right now, perhaps about half-done, or less!) Also, I totally recognize the fear of scaring the readers away - first with a pairing most people aren't interested in, and then by writing something long-ish.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one going through stuff like this. And of course, good luck with the rest of your fic! Keep up the good work, and don't get discouraged!

Ah, excellent, I'm not the only one. XD Cornerflag is for weird pairings by definition, though, so they can't complain about that... maybe I shouldn't restrict the length and just let it turn out however it wants.

Put in a few jokes about Romans, every Serie A fan will eat those 700000 words out of your hands. [This might leave your hands a bit - eaten. Or harrowed.
