Poor Mr W. Christmas comes but once a year and the Quacks have given him new medication to try to improve his medical problems. Mr W had to try out Sproglet's fly swotting zap thingy didn't he? An electric charge in a tennis shaped racquet zaps the little bugs when you turn on a switch and hit them. Of course he had to try it on himself!!!

Verdict: "It's got a helluva kick"! he told me whilst rubbing his hand.

Sproglet has broken the washing line! Now, if it was me that had broken it Mr W would have grumpily said: "What did you do that for"? but for Sproglet it was: "Never mind, I'll get it sorted". Is it bad to be ungrateful? Last year dearest Sproglet had given me a writing set for Mother's Day. I have spent this past weekend frantically writing out birthday cards (why three birthdays one after another for goodness sake)? and writing a stack of letters! Mr W, bless him, has given me a stocking filler gift for Christmas! I had the sewing machine early (and yes I'm still learning) but he wanted to get me something else. I have threaded my new machine! Yay. I have also had a go at sewing with it. Double yay! Next attempt is to sew something with it. Bit nervous about but can't be as bad as my mother was when my dad bought her an electric sewing machine back in the 1960's.
