Nearly made it!

Tree went up yesterday along with decorations. I always try and hang out for Christmas Eve but the two children in this house can't wait that long. Don't know who's worse - my eldest, Mr W, or Sproglet! Wish they were that enthusiastic about wrapping presents, writing out cards and cooking the blasted Christmas meals!

By the time I get to Christmas Day I just want to get through the day as quickly as possible! I cook a roast ham on Christmas Eve and then a roast on Christmas Day. Mr W is convinced that just rustling up a plate of veggies to go with the cold meat on Boxing Day does not actually involve cooking! He says the same thing every year that on Boxing Day I can have a rest. Every year the temptation to wallop him with a heavy based saucepan grows ever stronger!!!

Just do it, if you get a female judge you’ll get away with it. I am lucky in that Stegzy is the good cook but he’s hopeless at clearing away after himself and although he will do tasks I set him he is oblivious to jobs unless I point them out.
Will the world ever change?

I might bash him one so we can have a quiet Christmas! Mr W cannot cook but he does like me to clear away afterwards! He does get annoyed with me because I'm so untidy and he likes everything in its place! He once told me that he: 'had put the hoover around for me.' Fj replied: 'No, you put the hoover around for yourself as personally I couldn't give a xxxx!' He wasn't impressed.
